Thank you for taking time to visit our Online Store! My name is Stephanie Jordan and I am the owner of Adamas Jewelry Company. I have been Designing and Manufacturing Jewelry for over 28 years. My training includes an apprenticeship under the first Graduate Gemologist in the State of Alaska and various classes at the Gemological Institute of America. Over the years, I have also spent many hours developing my own techniques and style, all done in the pursuit of excellence.

I was born and raised in Stamford, Connecticut. In 1980, I pursued my lifelong dream of coming to Alaska. I drove to Alaska with my dog Gertrude and settled on the Kenai Peninsula, which is where I apprenticed. Today I live in Interior Alaska with my family. My design studio is located near the scenic and historical village of Ester, in the hills outside of Fairbanks. My Retail store is located in the Campus Corner Mall near the University of Alaska, Fairbanks.

I create many of the jewelry pieces here in our store using the lost wax casting method or fabricating them directly in the metal. Some designs have Gold Nugget detail on the piece, and/or various Gemstones set. Each creation is hand finished and finely polished.

Our business name, Adamas, comes from the Greek word that the word diamond is derived from. It means indomitable, adamant, hard and unconquerable. It seemed suitable as these qualities also represent the spirit and place that is Alaska - it can't be beat!
